So I'm working from home today and I've got the TV on in the background as Pittsburgh's iconic CBS outlet KDKA (first TV station in the world bro') starts it's 5pm news block. The very first teaser is footage of jam packed OWS rally with voiceover in almost revolutionary terms. After a brief !BREAKING NEWS! segment on a SWAT situation they then go full bore into a long (for a local news outlet) piece that took spliced video and audio from NYNY and around the country. Heck, it even beat out a sex accusation scandal for the area Bishop.
For the vast middle America that doesn't inhale internet politalk, it had to come across as slightly apocalyptic! Much of the piece was from a CBS feed but half of it discussed the local affects including a OWS meetup tonight and a big fete in Pittsburgh on the 15th.
This is were most real 'Mericuns get there news.... this is breaking through, and the message was powerful. The video was sweeping and the interviews were touching.
I'm curious if others on the board noticed much coverage on their local outlets? This may be the dominant story on the morning shows for a while. Time for Anderson Cooper to set up a tent? Hold on tight, THE REVOLUTION IS ABOUT TO BE TELEVISED!!
