From CNN:
Bank of America's CEO defended his bank's new $5 fee on debit cards on Wednesday, saying that customers and shareholders understand the bank has a "right to make a profit."
Sure, asshole. You have a right to make a profit. Everyone has a right to make a profit. But lets look at YOUR definition of a profit:
YOUR definition of a profit means that billions of dollars that would normally be considered profit are filtered out to your senior executives as BONUSES and, therefore, do not count.
Well, fuck you. I know of few people in other businesses that so regularly get million dollar bonuses for doing so little as shifting money around. That's really what you people do. You are not great thinkers. You are not innovators. The majority of you are of regular intelligence in a field that gives its employees far more than they've earned.
And I, as someone who so graciously puts money in your bank, must pay for what you consider to be entitlements.
And what about your derivative division? None of those profits have ever filtered down to the clients. They have always been the dirty little profit secret of banks. Sorry your greed got the best of you in the last few years.
But the fact of the matter is it is not my problem. You have more than enough money. Stop paying for your fucking company jet and your $100,000 parties. Stop giving secretaries and middle men millions in bonuses that their positions, if in an average company, would NEVER warrant. Stop giving yourselves salaries of $500,000, stock options of $3 million and "extra payouts" in your contracts of whoknowsthefuckwhat. Stop wasting our time and lying to the American people.
The days of your own excess are coming to a close. Fuck you if you think it's your birthright.
