National Review the same publication, which printed Ann Coulter’s diatribe against Iraqi Muslims, is now using sleazy propaganda to fool its readers into thinking that Occupy Wall Street protestors are a bunch of crackpots and bigots. On its website the National Review put up a video, titled “Occupy Wall Street Protester Calls 9/11 a Lie, Capitalism a ‘Pathology’3:54.” (http://www.nationalreview.com/)
As you can guess from the title, the National Review basically films one cuckoo (yes just one) at the Occupy Wall Street protest who believes in 9/11 conspiracy theories and then the National Review exposes his thoughts to the world via nationalreview.com.
This is not the first time the National Review has used such sleazy propaganda to undermine the protests. It also put up a video of another nutcase (on October 4th) at the protests spewing Anti-Semitic slurs. (http://www.nationalreview.com/...)
But bigots and lunatics gather around anyplace that draws a crowd. The Occupy Wall Street movement cannot filter out these bigots and lunatics because (a) these bigots and lunatics are entitled to a share of public space just like anyone else and (b) most importantly these bigots and lunatics are protected by the First Amendment and can spew their hate in a public-place just as the Black Hebrew Israelites and the Westboro Baptist Church can.
These facts are something that the National Review does not disclose to its readers.
The only reason the National Review would hence focus on such people (who make up only a very small fraction of the protestors, otherwise the National Review would’ve showed us a greater quantity of such people) is to use this minority to destroy the vision of the majority.
Cheap propaganda that I hope rational people can see through.
