I am a 99'er.
During the last few weeks we have been hearing about the occupy Wall St movement. This is a real grassroots movement that has struck a cord within the poorest 99% of us that have not found success in the trickle down economics started 30 years ago. Unfortunately, those who allowed themselves to be RepubliCONed were not told that the trickle down bowl was the size of the Grand Canyon and nothing would come pissing down upon them.
This is also unlike the Teapublican party astroturf movement. The tea party movement was a top to bottom movement controlled by the status quo using republicans who started to call themselves tea party republicans. Unlike the Occupy Wall St movement, the teapublican movement had many Corporitist front groups such as Corporate Lobbyist and multi-millionaire Dick Armey who ran the corporate front group "Americans for Prosperity". This organization was receiving million upon millions of dollars from the Koch Brothers, Pro-Tobacco lobbyist organizations and Pro- insurance companies just to name a few.

Fox News, CNBC and other traditional news outlets had 24/7 of free advertising from its multi-millionaire commentators on the Teapublican uprising to keep the status quo. They sold the uninformed that "regular people" just like them were being overly taxed by Barack Obama and those tax and spend democrats. What they really couldn't tell them is that under Reagan, Bush and Bush their taxes were being raised while the RepubliCONS were systematically lowering the taxes on the rich and destroying the middle class. They didn't inform their gullible viewers that the only tax cut they ever received was under President Barack Obama and a Democratically controlled congress. But hey, why let a good lie and irrational hate go unused. Especially when it will work in the multi-millionaires favor.
This movement, like those of the unions at the turn of the last century, the voting rights and civil rights movements were bottom up movements that start almost unnoticed. These movements start apolitical, but as they start to grow, they start to resonate by those who are being mistreated to those who they are protesting against. As it grows, the grassroot movements starts to get noticed. Then, other organizations get involved, and as the movement starts to grow and more and more join, the politicians start to notice and for the last century and a half, it has been the Democratic party who has fought for these rights. It has been and always will be a fight.
We are a 2 party system where the transnational corporations, i.e. the richest 1% own the wholly known subsidy called the Republican Party and for good measure, they just need a few Democrats, call them what you will, consevadems, Blue dogs, DLC dems or dinos to make it that much more harder for the poorest 99% to have government work to benefit both workers and business. I know that some may not want to hear that there are a few Democratic elected Officials who are working against our best interest, but I am not here to cheer-lead. I am here to fight for the resurgence of the middle class.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

I have been watching the traditional media and would like to share what these "just regular folks" are saying about this movement.
First they ignore you....
It took almost three weeks for the media to report it.
then they laugh at you....

Yes, Erin Burnett, newly hired by CNN, formerly of CNBC is not your traditional Journalist. Erin Burnett started her career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs. She is mocking those who are protesting her former employers. I think she may be better suited to be working a FOX News. CNN, Fox, is there any difference?

Liz Trotta, former Bureau chief of the right wing Washington "Moonie" Times and who joked that then candidate Obama should be assassinated, was especially vile.
Though not all those that report on current events are ridiculing the middle class.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry that a news comedy show has been proven to more accurate in current events than the traditional media.

I honestly believe that most of the police in New York and throughout the 30 plus cities that are having similar middle class protest do not want to be there. But they must follow their orders and unfortunately they are coming from the richest 1 %,
