NOTE: Republished as there is still time to receive a Halloween Pootie Pad before Halloween.  Please note that the links to buy Halloween Pootie Pads are at the end of this diary, not in the store of the Pootie Pad website.

Our small business lab that began here on Daily Kos in the Pootie diaries continues.  And in the spirit of the season, we have a few Pootie Pad fabrics for Halloween.

Costumed Kitties

Who can resist pooties in Halloween costumes?

Children might like this playful Halloween Stripe:

We have a colorful Jack O'Lantern fabric, almost cookie-like:

There is a blue and purple retro fabric we call Witching Hour:

And of course, we have Spooky Cats:

Black Cats

In case you are unfamiliar with Pootie Pads, they are small, catnip filled quilts for cats.  The catnip is extremely potent Oregon catnip that is certified organic -- and we use a lot of it in each pad.  In fact, we're beginning to think of them as aromatherapy for cats because this simple toy also helps with behavioral issues in cats.  Aggressive cats mellow out.  Shy or feral cats become approachable.  Geriatric cats become more comfortable.  Clingy cats are happy to stay on the pad and let you do what you need to do.  And the pads relieve stress on visits to the vet or long car trips -- just put them in the cat carrier.

My sister and I make the pads by hand from pre-washed cotton fabric and best quality, poofy polyester batting.  They are made with love and a sense of fun and kitties love them.  They are $39.95, including Priority Mail shipping.

Our small business goal (besides spreading joy to cats across the land) is to build this product to the point where we can start a real workshop and create some jobs, here in the U.S.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
