By that I mean; after today we work to get a socialist president elected.
In France btw. heh
REUTERS - French left-wingers began voting on Sunday to decide who will lead their challenge to unseat President Nicolas Sarkozy in an election next year, with moderate Socialist Party veteran, Francois Hollande the favourite to win.
But both Hollande and Aubry share the main tenets of a Socialist Party manifesto that promises to scrap 50 billion euros of tax breaks that mostly went to the wealthy under Sarkozy, using half of this money to fund state jobs and promote growth, with the rest to cut the deficit.
Yep, our very own Occupy with teeth
So the more global this movement becomes, the more it helps us win the next election.
The right have been hammered in every recent election and in the end they lost control of the senate for the first time under the 5th Republic. Sarkozy is in deep trouble
The trends suggested in the polls are mirrored by election results. With the exception of the European elections in 2009, Sarkozy’s centre-right Union for a Popular Movement party has suffered setback after setback. In March 2010, the left scored a decisive victory in regional elections, picking up 54% of votes (compared to the right’s 35.4%) and gaining ground in 21 out of 22 French regions. Sarkozy’s subsequent cabinet reshuffle was a bid to regain momentum.
But one year later, Sarkozy suffered another loss in local elections, scoring only 20% against the Socialists (55%) and an increasingly strong far-right National Front (11%).
His personal popularity is about the same as his party's at around 35%, and that bodes ill.....hehe.
Personally I cant wait
Have a great Sunday
