Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though.

More below the fold:
It's that time of the year again! Hallow's End quests and events are up. I hear that lower-levels able to queue for Shadow Monastery can join a group queued for the Headless Horseman, and get a ring that they can't use till 85, but I'm uncertain on the details.
Raiding reports! Here's the updates from our raid teams:
Ninotchka:
Raids report:
Team Kaels added another hardmode notch on our belts last week as we downed Heroic Rhyolith, in a last second white-knuckle four people left alive with a sliver of health kill. Laser beams from the sky? Hurt. But the dots ticked him over, I had a well-timed Lay Hands from Yuki, and my raid wall came off of cooldown at just the right time. Yay us!
We went in to the Baleroc fight hoping for more of the same, but it just wasn't going to happen last night. We know what we need to do, we're putting out enough damage to beat the enrage timer, but we keep getting one step wrong and veering off course. Frustrating, but that's what progression raiding is all about.
Team Snuff has lost Snuff to something called a social life. Go ahead and weigh in with editorial comments about said social life, it's always fun. Anyhow, they were kind enough to bring along a failmage to the beginnings of trash clearing on Tuesday night, but I believe they could really use one more reliable team member who has Tuesday nights free. Pamena can speak more about that subject.
The Sunday night bunch went to Blackwing Descent again last week and cleared 5/6, all the way up to Nefarian. We had the usual mix of brand new-to-raiding and experienced laid back raiders, and I think a fun time was had by all. If we get precisely the right mix of classes this coming Sunday night I plan to try a Nefarian kill, otherwise we'll mess around in some other normal modes. Maybe even break out the sunglasses and try Al'akir, you never know.

Raid Group 2 report:
Well, technically Group 2 is now 6 of 7 in Firelands, but probably only about half of the group has all 6 of those, as we have had a lot of variation in raid composition each time. On Friday, we were locked out of the first four bosses as Rubidium had briefly been a part of Team Kaels the previous night, and for reasons we don't completely understand had gotten locked without killing anything. But, silver lining!! It meant progress instead of another night of wipes on Rhyo, as we did Baleroc, I think, and Majordomo, so it worked out fine.
Now that Snuff has retired from leading the group, I am continuing to organize the Tues/Fri calendar invites and act as "organizational" raid leader, but I am not the person to direct strategy in the fights themselves. We've had Az and Ash on their alts helping in the capacity sometimes, and Tuesday, it was a combo of Thanael, mainly, plus the rest of us chipping in with our thoughts. We could still use some stability in membership of this group, and I'm not sure Thanael really feels like running the thing, although I think he can easily do it if he wants to. I will keep on setting it up, and we'll see how it goes. I would also like to urge those wanting to do raiding in Firelands to work on getting their gear levels up - it just goes so much smoother when everyone is above ilevel 360.
