First, in a 50-50 vote, the Senate rejected Measure Number: S1723, the bill to provide for teacher and first responder stabilization. The three democrats who voted against were Pryor (AR), Lieberman (CT) and Nelson (who else?) (NE). All Republicans voted against also. Isn't it time for Maine to get rid of Snowe?
Secondly, Cain has come out pro-choice. In an interview with Piers Morgan, he said that he was personally against abortion and that life begins at conception but that government should not make that choice for families. It is a tough decision made in the home, not by the President or anyone else in government.
Sounds like Cain is more of a Libertarian than head Libertarians Rand and Ron Paul. Crazy talk.
Third, Carl Lindner died this week at the age of 92 in Cincinnati. He was ranked as the 133rd riches person in the world in 2006, worth some 2.3 Billion dollars. The news is that my lovely daughter Aj, a first year graduate student at CCM, was asked to organize a brass quintet for the funeral. This is huge! She already plays a weekly gig at Lindner's church, a Baptist church in Cincinnati. I'm so excited for her. The funeral is today.
That's it.
