That's right, this week Musical Moondays will be all about punk rock songs you might have heard in films. Since I love films as well as music, especially punk rock music, this should be fun. We don't have to do this all my way and you can post punk inspired music as well or in that vein, but I'll be doing this diary my way. Gary Oldman did it Sid's way in Sid and Nancy(brilliantly as always).
And of course we have to pick the Ramones song from the movie Rock 'N' Roll High School.
Here is one of my favorite movies and soundtracks so I will play a couple of songs off of it. SLC Punk. Mirror in the bathroom please talk free THE DOOR IS LOCKED JUST YOU AND ME CAN I TAKE YOU TO A RESTAURANT THAT'S GOT GLASS TABLES YOU CAN WATCH YOURSELVES WHILE YOU ARE EATINGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the original version as you know but that punk cover of that English Beat song by FiFi is superb as is the character of heroin Bob.
I also like Sex and Violence(not so much the violence anymore)! The opening by the Exploited. And I didn't like rednecks either back then as we got into a lot of scuffles as well. This movie is awesome.

And there is a movie not as good, though it has its moments called Glory Daze which has a great soundtrack.
One of the best NOFX songs is on this soundtrack:
And on the Suburbia in 1984 where Roger Corman actually found punk and punk inspired musicians to play roles in the flick. Great soundtrack as well.
