I had a wonderful teacher in college who once said to the class:
“there is nobody “out there”; we're all in here.”
So I am part of the 100%. I want everybody to have a good life.
I want everybody in the world to have food on the table, clothes, shelter, medical attention when you need it, all the good things in the world.
Please follow me below the squiggle, and I'll try to explain. And if I sound like a DFH, it's because I am one.
Well, maybe not dirty, but as far as being a F*****g hippie, I am that.
And hard as it is for me to say this, I don't want ANYBODY to suffer.
No, not even the Wall Streeters. I don't want any of them to go to the guillottine, as many people of that class did during the French Revolution.
We all have problems; I know 1% percenters who have problems. They're not the same as a person who's been out of work for year, and they don't have to worry about food, shelter, or medical care, but trust me when I tell you that they've got problems of their own.
Shit happens. And it happens to everybody. I had a relative who was a 1% percenter. He committed suicide at 30.
I'm not making excuses for bad behavior; there are definitely people who have committed crimes against the public, and I want them to be tried. Some of them need to be tried in The Hague.
I also know that my city wouldn't have a hospital if it wasn't for people rich enough to donate it.
The fact is, the whole planet has big problems. WE, 100% of us, have big problems.
To divide ourselves is to be conquered. there's people that want to divide us; I say don't give them the satisfaction.
We need to work together, all of us.
Thank you for reading this; the floor is yours.
