This diary is short, and may break some rules. If so, I apologize in advance. I also apologize if this has already been brought up, I haven't been around as much lately, even lost my TU status.
But, I just read an article on USA Today (IMO an evil scion of the GANNETT Empire) about a (new?) book about the economic crisis titled "Lost Decades: The Making of America's Debt Crisis and the Long Recovery" by Jeffrey Friedan, professor of government at Harvard, and Menzie Chinn, professor of economic at Univ of Wisconsin.
From what I understand, they place most of the blame on Bush, where it belongs, and the policies that the GOP continue to try to shove down our throat that would most likely make matters much, much worse.
It could also provide cover for some of the statements recently made by some Democrats about our entitlement programs.
It's hard to review a book one hasn't actually read, and I make no claims for having done so. But I offer it here for those so inclined, because a public airing of it and its conclusions could have a big impact on our electoral chances in 2012.
AND have the added benefit of saving the economy of this country.
Just a thought.
