It's no secret that Karl Rove wants Romney to win the Republican nomination. It's also no secret that Karl Rove has a history of leaking "secret stuff" and spreading "whisper campaigns" to reporters about people he does not like for the sole purpose to destroy that person's reputation. Rove's "Whisper Campaigns" and "destroy the opponent" campaigns have gone on for decades.
Why does Karl Rove pick Romney?
ANSWER: Because Dick Cheney, the Bush family & the GOP Military Industrial Machine (Blackwater) pick Romney.
First and foremost Cheney, the Bush family & the GOP Military Industrial Machine see Romney as a perfect Puppet. Mitt, the perfect puppet - who will say, do & agree to anything just to be President. At age 60 Mitt Romney flipped 180 degrees on all social issues and Mitt has been known to flip 180 degrees on a given issue in less than 24 hours.
Mitt Romney, just to become President & in order to get the GOP Military Industrial Complex to support him, Mitt has proven he is even willing to stoop so low as to hire a man, J. Cofer Black, whose organization, Blackwater, is guilty of murdering innocent people around the world and has been found guilty of illegally selling US Weapons to foreign countries.
Romney hired J. Cofer Black as his Foreign Policy Adviser. Cofer Black worked in the Bush Administration until 2005 at which time Cofer Black became Vice Chairman of Blackwater Worldwide.
You may remember that Blackwater was Dick Cheney's Private Military (paid by the US Taxpayer) who in 2007 was charged & investigated for illegally selling US Weapons to foreign countries and who was charged with murdering innocent people in Iraq. Blackwater was fined $42 Million Dollars and they changed their name to Xe.
In 2007 Cofer Black told an international conference in Amman, Jordan, that Blackwater was ready to be an army for hire to police the world's trouble spots.
Cofer Black said,
"Unlike national and multinational armies, which tend to get bogged down by political and logistical limitations, Blackwater could have a small, nimble, brigade-size force ready to move into a troubled region on short notice."
Currently, Blackwater is building an army of mercenaries for the United Arab Emirates.
Second, Cheney loves J. Cofer Black and Blackwater and war and murder in general ... and Rove loves Cheney, Cofer Black, Blackwater & war too.
So did Rove start a "whisper campaign" or "destroy the opponent" campaign against Herman Cain?
In 1986: Karl Rove wrote a memo to his political client, Bill Clements,
"The whole art of war consists in a well-reasoned and extremely circumspect defensive, followed by rapid and audacious attack."
Here's a short list of Rove's past "whisper campaigns":
1992: Karl Rove was fired from George HW Bush Presidential campaign for leaking a false story about Texas Fundraiser Robert Mosbacher Jr.
1994: Karl Rove spread false rumors in Texas that Ann Richards was a lesbian during her campaign against Rove's candidate George Bush for Texas Governor.
1994: Karl Rove spread false rumors that Mark Kennedy of Alabama was a pedophile during his campaign against Rove's candidate, Harold See for Alabama Supreme Court.
1996: Karl Rove's strategy to get his candidate, Harold See, elected to Alabama Supreme Court was to "secretly" attack his own candidate in order "to create a backlash against the Democrat" opponent.
2000: Karl Rove spread false rumors that Bush's opponent, John McCain, committed treason against the USA and gave up US secrets to the Viet Cons while being interrogated in as a Prisoner of War.
2000: Karl Rove spread false rumors that John McCain had fathered a child with a black prostitute.
2003: To get back at Ambassador Joe Wilson blowing the secret that in order to sell the US citizens into backing an illegal invasion of Iraq Bush/Cheney Administration had falsified intel documents, Karl Rove, along with Scooter Libby as the fall guy, had Robert Novak write a column that Wilson's wife was a covert CIA officer - thus blowing her cover and costing her, her job.
By 2003, Rove and columnist Robert Novak had already developed a 20 year relationship. Oddly enough, in 2005 Novak admitted to CNN that every conversation Novak had with Rove over that 20 period was always "off the record."
CNN Transcript (2005)
CROWLEY: "Can you tell us whether you ever told Karl Rove about Valerie Plame's status?"
NOVAK: I can't tell anything I ever talked to Karl Rove about, because I don't think I ever talked to him about any subject even the time of day, on the record.
Does that mean that Novak ever talk to Rove about Valerie Plame’s CIA status, on background, or off the record?
2004: Rove leaked propaganda against John Kerry to Swift Boat through Bush/Cheney lawyer Ben Ginsberg who was forced to resign.
The Washington Times reported in 2004:
Benjamin L. Ginsberg as chief outside counsel to President Bush's campaign, after acknowledging he had provided legal advice to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth organization.
The Times continued with the ABC News report:
"Ginsberg's admission throws into doubt weeks of denials by the Bush campaign, including as recently as yesterday, that there was any link between them and the swift boat veterans."
2007: Karl Rove was hell-bent on destroying Democrat Don Siegelman in an effort to get a Republican Governor in Alabama. Rove had Bush's DOJ investigate Siegelman and a Republican Lawyer, Dana Jill Simpson, signed a sworn affidavit that five years prior she had heard Republican Bill Canary tell others that Karl Rove would pursue Siegelman so he would not be a political threat.
2007: Karl Rove personal emails acknowledged that Rove conspired to have 93 US Attorneys fired because those attorneys refused to wage "Political Investigations" that would destroy Democrat candidates during Bush's first term in office. Keep in mind: all 93 US Attorney's that Karl Rove conspired to have fired were all appointed by President George W. Bush in 2000.
ABC News reported:
"e-mails from top administration officials show that the idea of firing all 93 U.S. attorneys was raised by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove in early January 2005."
There ya have it - Karl Rove has a history of destroying people who get in his client's way. Is Rove's client J. Cofer Black?
See, Rove doesn't even have to like Romney to "support" Romney or to "destroy his opponent" for Romney - if Rove wants the GOP Military Complex to win, and he does, and if the Complex has picked Romney, and they have - then expect more and more "whisper campaigns" to emerge.
Remember:
In April 14, 2011 ">Fox interview Karl Rove laid out all the factors that would make Romney the best contender to go against Obama.
When Gov. Rick Perry was thinking about his entrance into the race, Rightwinged Blogs said Rove was:
"Johnny-on-the-spot with reasons why a Perry candidacy would not be viable against President Obama."
That same Rightwinged blog wrote:
"Of course, it’s important to keep in mind the fact that Rove is an establishment Republican who supports McRomney And if someone really wants to focus on gaffes, they should focus on McRomney’s deception on hiring illegal lawn care workers, his full-blown support of Roe v. Wade not so long ago, his support of the assault weapons ban, his support of the Brady Bill, and his ongoing belief in manmade global warming, among other things."
In September, in an effort to grind Rick Perry up and send a message to the GOP Machine, Rove said Rick Perry is "toxic."
Last week, Rove told Fox News he did not think Cain was up to the task.
ROVE: “I think it [Cain flip/flop] has created an image of him [Cain] as not being up to this task. [And] that’s really deadly.”
The rightwinged blog left out:
Bush Family Supports Romney. President George HW Bush told Larry King
BUSH: "If you asked me, who will the 2012 nominee be, I couldn't tell you. We like Mitt Romney. We know him well and like him very much."
Cheney supports Romney. In a Sunday interview with Chris Wallace, Dick Cheney said of Romney,
CHENEY: "He's a very able guy ... I thought he was a good governor."
I think Herman Cain also thinks Karl Rove leaked the story to Politico. Even though the rightwingers are blaming Democrats - Cain is not ... hmmm.... almost as if he knows it was Karl Rove.
Like the Rightwinged blog said,
"Rove is an establishment Republican who supports McRomney"
As is typical with Rove, there is no "direct" evidence he planted the Plame story with Robert Novak and there is no "direct" evidence he planted the Cain Sexual Harassment story with Politico
--- but, looking at Rove's history and knowing how Rove will do anything to "win" I wonder if Karl Rove gave Politico the Herman Cain Sexual Harassment story - I sure as hell don't put it past him.
BTW: I am sorry this Diary is so long - but - it isn't my fault that Rove is such a dick and his history of screwing over people is so lengthy.
