The time has come, I suggest, to forget about the Republican primary farce.
Ms. Maddow had it right last night -- most of the candidates there are a joke,
a punk, a stunt to sell books and win post-election speaking engagements.
The time has come to talk about something else: Who should run as VP
with Obama?
This is not against Joe Biden. Seemingly, he has done well. But I want to see the W. H. chemistry changed, I want to see Obama FORCED into be more active and more ballsy, and I think that will occur, if it still can occur, by giving him a hotshot VP candidate to run with: Hillary Clinton.
I expect Obama does not want her because she would draw so much attention to herself - thus, it will take pressure from the outside to make that happen. I don't know if Hillary wants the job. She'd have to pay more attention to her appearance, re-hire her W. H. hairdresser and change a lot of her focus. But, honestly, I do not see anyone else in the Democrats' picture who could do the job and help keep Democrats in office.
Do you? I have ceased to care about Obama personally, but I do care about the office of President, I care about who may be appointed to the Supreme Court in the years ahead, and lots more - and I expect others here do too.
So, I will now conclude, with a question: Do you, citizens of Kosville, want to see Biden replaced with H. Clinton to run in 2012? I have thought about this long and hard, and I want her and am willing to work to that end. How many will join in this effort?
Please post/answer.
One more thing: Let me URGE you all to read Ezra Klein's take on the Obama situation, how we got here and where we can go to make it better, in the current New York Review of Books. I received it in the mail today and read his essay. It is depressing, but it is accurate. He pins the jackass's tail on Geithner, and ultimately on Obama for our current national stalemate and dilemma. Just read it. You'll understand a lot more of what is going on.
