Statewide Results: KY | ME | MS | NJ | NY | PA | VA
Specific Races: AZ-SD-18 | IA-SD-18 | MI-HD-51 | OR-01
4:03 PM PT: Polls are now closed in all of Kentucky, as well as in Virginia, where the Dem-controlled state Senate is up for grabs.
4:09 PM PT: About 15% of precincts are reporting in KY and the races are starting to gel. Democrats still hold wide leads in all but the AG race, where Bob Farmer is getting killed, and the Treasurer race, where Dem Todd Hollenbach holds a narrow 49-45 lead over KC Crosbie.
4:10 PM PT: By the way, check out Alison Lundergan Grimes' numbers in the KY-SoS race. She is just scorching it, running several points ahead of the rest of the Dem field with 65% at the moment. Talk about rising star.
4:13 PM PT: For Indy mayor, incumbent Republican Greg Ballard has a 53-46 lead over Melina Kennedy with 10% counted.
4:17 PM PT: GOPer KC Crosbie is a councilor in Lexington, which is in Fayette County, 2nd largest in the state. Fayette's reporting early, and she's held her own there, but as the rest of the state reports, Hollenbach's margin should widen out.
4:22 PM PT: If you're wondering why Dem Bob Farmer is getting crushed in the Ag Commish race by Republican James Comer, well, he was simply the (very) weak link on the Dem ticket. At one point during the campaign, he even admitted he didn't know a thing about, well, agriculture. He also made jokes mocking residents of eastern Kentucky. In short, he pretty much sucked as a candidate.
4:25 PM PT: The first votes are trickling in in Virginia, in the 10th Senate District race. This is a GOP-held seat, and not one that's expected to be competitive.
4:29 PM PT: A third of the vote has been tallied in Kentucky, and, yeah... nothing interesting is happening. Dems are set for big wins, though we still need to keep an eye on the Treasurer race.
4:33 PM PT: Polls have just closed in Ohio, where voters are deciding whether to overturn SB5, the bill that limits collective bargaining rights for public employees.
4:36 PM PT: Not like it's any surprise, but local media is already calling KY-Gov for Steve Beshear. The AP hasn't yet, though.
4:41 PM PT: Congratulations to Dem Gov. Steve Beshear! The AP just called the race for him!
4:49 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): The liveblog continues in thread #3.
