- On Veterans Day, it must be noted that vets have been occupying Wall Street since the day the movement began. At camps around the country, they are bringing the wars home.
- A Berkeley police captain says that protesters who were beaten by police were engaging in violence because they linked their arms (yes, seriously).
- Big banks say they aren't worried about the 700,000 customers who have moved their money to credit unions over the past six weeks, but these ten stories say otherwise.
- Occupy Wall Street has changed the national conversation, as mentions of income inequality in the traditional media have increased more than five-fold over the past two months.
- The man who committed suicide at the Occupy Burlington encampment yesterday was a veteran.
- The shooting at Occupy Oakland yesterday was fatal, although apparently it was unrelated to the encampment. Mayor Jean Quan is asking Occupy Oakland to leave their encampment because of it. - Continuing the grim news, police say they closed Occupy Salt Lake City after a man apparently died of natural causes at the encampment.
- A man was also found dead of natural causes at Occupy New Orleans.
- Returning to positive news, Occupy Minneapolis will join the growing ranks of local Occupy groups camping outside of family homes in an attempt to save them from foreclosure:
