Short diary here, but just spotted on Twitter and Facebook that Robert Reich will be speaking tonight on the steps of Sproul. Looks like this is still coming together as I've seen times and locations change. Its either 8:00 or 8:30pm. Not sure if this was an event already in the works, but the timing with the strike is perfect.

Robert #Reich on class warfare in America 8 p.m. bit.ly/bBvoSw#45764
Robert Reich, professor of public policy, former secretary of labor under President Clinton and author of 13 books, including the recent Aftershock: The Next Economy and America’s Future, will present the 15th annual Mario Savio Memorial Lecture, "Class Warfare in America."
Robert Reich (along with Paul Krugman) has been consistently raising the alarms on what has happened to our economy, our democracy, and our social contract. His analysis is always spot on. We've gone so far of course at this point that I pause and wonder at a time when he was actually allowed a position of power in government. Reich also has some pretty good ideas about how to steer this ship in the right direction, so I hope his words can help provide some guidance on how to focus our anger into meaningful action.
I wish I was able to attend the day events at OccupyCal today, but my boss has already been gracious enough, allowing me to attend Oakland's strike and putting up with my late mornings following late evenings at the GA. Looking forward to joining up with OccupyCal later tonight.
