That's the question I have today. Occupy Wall Street has been a nonviolent movement from the start. Go talk to any of the occupiers and you're more often than not greeted with a smile and interesting conversation. The musicians and artists share their talents while encouraging others to join in. It's a peaceful friendly atmosphere.
When the police closed in on occupiers they stood their ground peacefully yet the police dressed in riot gear still used force against them. Just because you're given an order to evict the park does not mean you have to do so violently. Does this look like a riot to you?
They can fight the occupiers, but they'll still peacefully get the message out there that...
Stand strong OWS.
