6:56 PM PT: Last question was from Mark Thiessen, another hack from the Bush years. He wants to know what each candidate thinks the top issue is. Rick Santorum blabs on forever without making himself clear. Ron Paul says his biggest fear is that we overreact. And Rick Perry says China is his biggest fear.
6:57 PM PT: Romney agrees China is the biggest threat, but agrees with Santorum that Latin America is the biggest unmentioned threat to America. Hezbollah is "working throughout Latin America" he says.
6:58 PM PT: Herman Cain says he's worried about Cybersecurity, calling himself a former computer scientist. Gingrich says he's most worried about a electromagnetic pulse or nuclear bomb like on 24 or Ocean's Eleven. Okay, I made up the last part. Huntsman says America's biggest problem is joblessness, which I don't think answers the question that was asked.
7:00 PM PT: And the debate, mercifully, is over. No huge moments, but I suspect the stuff about immigration will come back to be an issue. I also still can't understand what Mitt Romney was thinking when he got in that fight with Jon Huntsman about Afghanistan. And Perry finally had an error-free outing. What'd you think?
7:19 PM PT: And the immigration blow back has already begun for Newt Gingrich. Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad's Communications Director said Gingrich caused himself some "significant harm" by insufficiently hating brown people. But given that Romney quasi-agreed with Gingrich (after Perry backed Newt), who would be helped?
