Good morning, and it's time for the slog. Welcome to Saturday Morning Garden Blogging.
Denver's weather has really been screwing with my efforts to get the rest of the spring bulbs in the ground.
There have been two days this week when it was nice enough — and not windy — to do some planting.
On Wednesday the high here in town was 68° — and I was indoors making batch after batch of ice cream to take down to Thanksgiving dinner in Pueblo.
On Thursday it was a beautiful 72° — and I, of course, was in Pueblo.
Yesterday… 54° and the damned wind kicked up again.
It looks like Sunday will be my day, with temperatures back into the 60s. Which is really too warm for late November. And it's really dry, too — today I'll need to do so watering so the ground is soft enough to plant.
And more seed catalogs have arrived — Totally Tomatoes and the Vermont Bean Company.
But that's all I got. Guess I'm still a little logy from Thanksgiving turkey and ham and sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes and, of course, ICE CREAM!
That's what's happening here. What's going on in you garden?
