I've made a few videos in my life. Simple ones, back when You Tube first became popular. I'm not much of a videographer, I guess. What can I say... I'm middle-aged. Old enough to remember when cell phones were as large as bricks and young enough to know my way around the Internets and my Droid.
Anyway, I got to thinking about the OWS movement this weekend. I've been a supporter from day one, but I always thought the message was rather vague and so doomed to fail. And then OWS went mainstream and I decided to do a little more research. What I discovered was that the message isn't all that vague after all and if we count on the American media to give us information about OWS, we're not going to get very good information (I know, I know... shocking).
More below the fold.
Which is where you guys come in. I've learned a lot reading about OWS on this site. And I'm so very proud of all of you... by 'you', I mean you out there sleeping in the tent, and you out there getting pepper-sprayed on-campus, and you out there on your computer trying to bring awareness to the American people in a way our sold-out media will not.
I've spent a lot of time this long holiday weekend trying to think of ways to help. I don't have much spare income to donate. I work full time and go to school at night so I don't have much room in my schedule to Occupy Houston.
So I made this video instead. Maybe it will reach a few people and they will be more informed. I will count that as a success. Any and all mistakes are mine and I am in no way affiliated with the OWS movement in any official capacity.
I just wanted to try and help.
Please feel free to share. I also don't mind hearing your opinions and criticisms but be please gentle... I'm hardly a professional here. :)
