Anybody see the writing on the GOP wall? Mitt Romney has been tossed aside by the king makers over at Fox News. They have adjusted their focus on Newt Gingrich. There are others besides Fox who feel they get to decide who will be on the ticket. They aren't too thrilled with someone who has not only cheated on his wife, but dumped her when she was in bad shape, then did it again. They aren't too thrilled with running someone who was found guilry violating ethics rules.
How he paid his penalty is also suspect. House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) paid the $300,000 penalty the House levied against him for violating ethics rules by accepting a loan from a surprising source -- Robert J. Dole, his onetime rival as leader of congressional Republicans.
What is the answer ? Give up and focus on 2016 or try something new and exciting?
Herman Cain, the art project is just about over. Rick Perry could spark interest, if he were to be carried by the Tea Party and Christian money. That is fading. Chris Christie said he was not ready to run for President, or was not ready to BE President. What about Vice President ?
What I keep looking for is the write in campaign. Yes. Just like a big movie premier, only this big premier might unfold at the Republican Convention.
Only this kind of drama would be the shake up they desperately need. They are so dead in the water with Romney and Gingrich and the sinking Perry and Cain.
Sarah Palin might be in the process of raising money "pretending" she is running.
Buddy Roemer has mentioned that he might run as a third party candidate.
It's starting to brew in my opinion. The write in candidate solution for the GOP.
Think of the drama and the excitment for them. I think it's starting to brew.
Here are my guesses for the GOP to adopt.
Bush Christie Jeb Bush and Chris Christie Don't laugh. They are desperate.
Pataki Romney
Pataki Huntsman
or
Bush Portman
To be clear. I will be supporting and voting for President Obama. I feel he will need another 4 years to continue to repair the damage caused from President Cheney, and the cheerleader sidekick. I also feel we need to focus on the house and senate and remove that 61 vote rule.
I just keep looking at the pre-season sport of politics and can't see how the current choice of Republicans can remain on the field. I just think this is like the pre season where you try out your players, and just in case, you have a couple on the bench ready to jump in if needed.
Here is my update for December 20, 2011 It's official. A new write in campaign has started. It's going to be online. It's going to be a "Third Party" And Jeb Bush is going to be their guy.
