You get up in the morning and while the mornin’ cup o’ joe is brewing… you log onto DailyKos. Hey, hey... whazzup for the day. Catchin’ the news a couple days before it percolates through the MSM filters.
You have a few moments between tasks at work… so you pop into DailyKos. You’re waiting for someone or something… bored… so you pop into DailyKos.
You saw something… witnessed something… outraged about something… maybe know something and you want to share. DailyKos is right here. Never more than a click away.
Powering down for the night… catchin’ some cool grooves on DailyKos and sharing with friends. Or you can’t sleep or you’re worried or you’re heartbroken… DailyKos is always on and the community is never empty.
The lights are always on… and you don’t want to know what it feels like if those lights ever go out and go away.
Years ago… back before the White House Press Scandal and Valerie Plame's outing and Fallujah where George Bush's foreign invasion melted the skin off of children with white phosphorus and the slow-mo horror show of Katrina/NOLA-Heck of a Job Brownie... this site went offline for many long hours for some-now-forgotten-reason. That downtime seemed like years. And we were lost.
Some of us ran to Atrios’ place to catch any scraps of news on what wuz happenin’ with our DK and we almost crashed Atrios’ joint. Some ran to MyDD… we kossacks did crash their site.
Buncha folks lost without DailyKos and the connectivity… and it was horrible.
Don’t want that to ever happen again.
Because there’s no place like dkos.
