Military analysts and legal experts say American gangs are using the US military as a training vehicle to prepare gangs for urban warfare. This, combined with research pointing to the infiltration of US military units by gangs, supremacists, and even terrorist groups makes the current draw down in Iraq a major challenge for the future stability of the United States.

In war, spies and infiltrators historically have provided misinformation, sabotage and misdirection to armies throughout history. Famous spies, of course include Mata Hari, Aldritch Ames, the Rosenfelds, and Nathan Hale. Motivation for spies includes everything from revenge, to patriotism, to financial gain.

The FBI says there are more than 53 different gangs represented in the ranks of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.
The Committee on Homeland Security thinks you should add jihadists to that list of infiltrators.
A “significant and growing number of military personnel” are actually terrorists in disguise posing a “serious danger to their brothers and sisters in arms who wear the same uniform,” according to a report released on Wednesday by the Committee on Homeland Security. MORE
