Here’s my nomination:
“Mr. Speaker, you are obviously a brilliant historian with a world-class reputation. Isn’t it true that many of the world’s greatest leaders have had, shall we say, complicated private lives? Aren’t great mean usually men of great appetites?”
Ideally, by appealing to Gingrich’s vanity and hubris, the question would goad Gingrich into giving a historical lecture, all caught on video, that would seem as though Gingrich were defending his own loutish, piggish behavior.
What question would you ask Gingrich? Remember, although Gingrich is not, in fact, brilliant, he is excellent at swatting away any question from a reporter if he deems the question negative, hostile, or designed to directly reveal his hypocrisies, inconsistencies or deficiencies. So please, make your submissions here crafty.
