Short diary.
While I'm a raving liberal, my younger brother is a radical rightwinger. We agreed a long time ago that we don't talk politics, we don't send each other emails about politics, books about politics, and the like. We get along famously.
I just received an email from him in which he stated that there is a place on an Obama campaign website where you can make a campaign donation in someone else's name and have a thank-you email sent to them.
He works with an immature, silly Democrat who is an embarrassment to Democrats everywhere. This clown sent in several small donations in my brother's name and now my brother's inbox is flooded with thank-you's from the DNC and the Obama campaign.
Is it legal to make a donation in someone else's name?
Is the DNC or Obama campaign encouraging this?
