To be fair, most voters thought they were electing the truck.
I'm so old I can remember when Republican Scott Brown was considered to be a dyed-in-the-wool teabagger. Your memory plays tricks on you when you get to be my age; it
seems like was only a few years ago. But
what do I know?
Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) continued his re-election strategy of positioning himself as an independent thinker and voter, going as far as to align himself with President Barack Obama on Wednesday. Speaking on "Fox 25 Morning News," Brown cited pieces of legislation that he and the president both supported.
"The president just signed into law my 3 percent withholding bill, the Hire a Hero veterans bill, the Arlington Cemetery bill," he said. "I mean I could go on and on and on." [...]
"I'm the most bipartisan senator in the entire delegation -- if not the most bipartisan senator in the entire senate," he told Fox 25.
Saying the word bipartisan, twice? On a Fox-owned outlet, no less? If he was running in the GOP presidential primaries his campaign would be over before he even finished that sentence.
Facing a reelection run against Elizabeth Warren can really change a person, apparently. Or is it just something about Massachusetts Republicans (cough Romney cough)? They're as slippery as fish.
