As regulars of SMGB know, I'm just a tad bit anal about timeliness.
Blame my mother. She was a nutcase (can you say "severe untreated bipolar disorder" children? I knew you could). Fortunately the only long-term effects of her nutcasery on me were alcoholism (as a therapist once told me, a totally rational response to being in a totally irrational environment) and absolute anality about being on time.
So the scheduled shut-down of dKos Friday-Into-Saturday February 4-5 already has me... twitchy.
But hey, being a good sport (and sober) I planned ahead, and last Saturday posted this notice
PLEASE NOTE: With the schedule shut-down next Friday-into-Saturday for the conversion to dKos4, Saturday Morning Garden Blogging will, for one week only, be Sunday Morning Garden Blogging. Same bat time, different bat day.
If the conversion is delayed (like that would ever happen), Saturday Morning Garden Blogging will stay on Saturday.
All this week I've been getting myself used to the idea that on Friday night I will not need to be editing and uploading photos; that this Saturday I will not need to be carefully monitoring the Official US Time at NIST site to post at precisely 7:00:00 a.m. Mountain Time (and looking forward to, perhaps, having no more phantom html errors preventing me from posting at precisely 7:00:00 a.m. Mountain Time).
So now I wander over to the dKos beta site (haven't been hanging out there much lately), only to find that kos is polling the beta site as to whether the launch will go forward as originally scheduled.
Ahem.
Yes. Yes it should.
Because if it doesn't we who have been bracing ourselves could get a little bit... testy.
