Hi,
http://www.dkosopedia.com/...
Here's a link to Protest music on dkosopedia where I discuss a new project, a Protest Music book.
Here's the stuff so far.

Protest Music
Working with the Protest Music Group and the DailyKos community this page will organize a Protest Music book which will consist of substantial articles posted to DailyKos about protest music.
So the articles will be posted at DailyKos and the book will be a Table Of Contents or aggregation of these articles. The Table Of Contents will be available in several different views for instance most recently posted, grouped by major category, grouped by chapters, or in an historical chronology.
The different views will be displayed from data entered into a table. Here are some preliminary ideas that will point to the necessary data elements.
Major Categories
Artist Profiles Songs and Movements Humor and Satire Analysis History
Concept of Chapters A chapter would be created by an editor to link related articles.
Timeline Authors or editors would decide on start date and end date for the material covered in the article. The start dates would be used for historical chronology and chronological listings would include the date ranges.
Integrate DailyKos tags Follow the link and pull the tags from the page so our listings can include tags.
Suggestions for articles.
Please add ideas, message hairylarry on dkos, or email me at hairylarry@deltaboogie.com.

It's on the dkosopedia wiki so you can edit it there. We just got another article about The Who where there career is covered in tremendous detail.
Popular Culture (Music) 20110902: The Who. Quadrophenia Part I+
This is the kind of thing I'm talking about and we get a lot of it. But like so many diaries they scroll of the recent list or maybe they're rescued and then they're lost in the morass known as the world wide web.
So we can think of the Protest Music book as a permanent rescue for substantial Protest Music diaries.
Thanks,
Hairy Larry
