5:43 PM PT (David Nir): Romney is overperforming a lot in Concord and a little bit in Dover. It looks like Romney may perform better this time around in the more liberal parts of the state (which makes some sense, seeing as how he's running as the putative moderate this time). He also way overperformed in Portsmouth. (Got 40, needed 34 to be on track for 40 statewide.) Another liberalish town. Pretty middling performance in Manchester, though, which is where all the votes are.
5:43 PM PT: Woah, Romney may not even win by double digits.
5:44 PM PT (David Nir): Santorum has also closed the gap for 4th place with Newt. He's back just 20 votes now.
5:44 PM PT (David Nir): A lot of the rurals are still out, and that seems to be where Paul's doing best, so he could make it slightly closer than 10. On other hand, so too a lot of the Masshole exurbs are still out, and that's where Romney's core strength probably still is.
5:48 PM PT: At least three dozen New Hampshire voters didn't give up their Cain Train dream! 37, to be exact.

5:51 PM PT: Remember all those conservatives who gloated when Perry got in the race? "He's never lost an election!" Well, make that two losses in a row. South Carolina should end his political career for good.
5:52 PM PT: 98 percent of voters in this GOP primary were white, which makes them perfectly representative of their party.
5:54 PM PT: Romney crushed the competition among Republicans who make over $200,000/year.
5:55 PM PT: Anybody interested in the Rick Perry/Buddy Roemer duel? It's Perry 390, Roemer 203. Polls were off on that one.
5:57 PM PT:
6:02 PM PT (David Nir): Romney's edged up to 37, Santorum to just a hair under 10.
6:02 PM PT: Fun reminder -- the wingnut Union-Leader endorsed Gingrich. Oops. So much for it being influential.
6:03 PM PT: I have an overwhelming desire to put on the Bulls game.
6:04 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): The liveblogging continues in the next thread.
