It honestly takes so little to make me happy in some subjects. Tonight, I've got teh "happy - happy! joy - joy!" at the return of one of my favorite treats; believe me, the object of said treat is a worthy one! :D
So, let's get right down to "this day in history." On January 12, 1915, the United States House of Representatives rejected a proposal to give women the right to vote.
Today's GOBP is probably re - thinking that whole "women right to vote" thing; hell, they want only "their kind" to vote!
On this date in 1998, Linda Tripp provided Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr's office with taped conversations between herself and former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. I've always wondered how many friends Ms. Tripp lost when they found out she liked to tape conversations? And, whatever happened to that fat white blowhard in the House who was really leading the charge on all those investigations? ;D
All right, it's time to get that treat ready!! :D This is 61 today; get yer brain bleach ready.
Seriously, do I need to make a list of why that is deserving of a cake full of $hit it being full of $hit in its own right??!! I'd tell him to GO CHENEY HIMSELF, but he'd take that as a compliment.
Let's Countdown...with David Shuster again. :)
#5 "Raising Bain" AKA "Divide & Quarrel" AKA "Uncivil War" - Mittens is good & pi$$ed off & going on the offensive in defending what he did at Bain Capital. And, as far as the Gordon Geko comparisons, Mittens doesn't think nearly as well on his feet & gives a lousy speech! :) Plus, I imagine he's never banged Daryl Hannah!! :D Bain did create 4 businesses - including Staples. Newtie's still keeping up the attacks. Dems are loving all this $hit! Shira Toeplitz gets Bain Talk; Mittens & his peeps are being a little vague about what Bain did. Gee, I can't imagine why! Mittens has the personality & warmth of a mud puddle; when he tries to look sympathetic, he only makes it worse. Ms. Toeplitz expressed a wee dram of concern that all this Bain stuff's out there at this point because it might lose steam by the time of general election campaigning. Nah...this stuff ain't going anywhere - especially in light of Mittens' tendency to stick his expensive shoes down his pie hole. Senator McCentury & America's Mayor spent part of their day scolding Newtie & Governor Secession for their sudden bout of populism. ;D Governor Secession lost a big - money donor because of his "vulture capitalism" comment? Darn! $aint $arah from Wasilla's still on Governor Secession's side, so he's got THAT going for him. ;D John Bolton's backing Mittens after Newtie said he'd make him SOS?! Wow! Now, THAT'S gratitude, boys & girls!! Andy Kroll gets MENSA cat - fighting duty; that's gotta be fun. :) All these Bain attacks from Newt might just boil down to plain simple bruised ego after what was done to him in IA. In addition to Mr. Andy's explanation of why Newtie's getting scolded by the GOBP, it doesn't sound like Newtie worked or played well with many people during his time on Capitol Hill, so a lot of those ego issues might be seeing the light of day just for the pleasure of seeing him go down.
#4 "PAC - Men" AKA "Super PAC - Men" - One Lost Wages casino magnet dude has given over $5 million to the SuperPAC supporting Newtie. Ya' know, in this era of the best politician money can buy, can't this dude do better than Newt?! Governor Huntsman's Dad is pumping more money into sonny boy's campaign. Well, I guess that answers my question from the other night! :) Man on Dog is also a kept man with a super rich dude. His "Red, White, and Blue" fund shelled out tons of ads in IA to get Man on Dog 8 votes from victory there. The Mittens' SuperPAC has already spent $9 million on ads. Wow, I'd say all this is obscene, but obscene doesn't cut it; it should be criminal. Senator McCentury doesn't like SuperPACs, but I'm sure he would've had no problem with them if 1 was backing him. Evan McMorris Santoro's already in SC & gets to see all those warm & fuzzy ads. Yes, Citizens United must go down, but big money will still find a way into politics in a post - Citizens United country. Newtie, Mittens, and Man on Dog claim to not like SuperPACs but would have no problem with as many people making as big donations as they want as long as everything's disclosed. Right...
"Time Marches On!" - David Shuster got into my diary drafts; I guess he got instructions from Keith! :D Another senior citizens got down & boogied. A doggie tried really really hard to find a ball in a pile of leaves & found it. A rookie bowler ended up falling on his a$$ - HA!
#3 "Fraud" AKA "Project Voter Fraud" - Little Jimmy O'Keefe tried to expose voter fraud in NH by committing voter fraud the other day, and the NH AG just might file charges. Guess Little Jimmy should've stayed in his parents' basement awhile longer! And, there's even video evidence of the fraud - brilliant. These particular MENSA members got ballots using a false ID & secretly videotaped a polling place - against the law in the "Live Free or Die" state. Ryan Reilly gets Little Jimmy duty. Guess what? Voter fraud's never really been a problem in NH. Voting experts say it doesn't matter if Little Jimmy & his peeps didn't actually vote; just getting the ballots was a criminal act. The families of the dead folk whose names got used could sue in civil court, too. Oh, wouldn't that be lovely?! ;D
#2 "Duck and Cover - Up?" - Mittens is refusing to disclose his tax returns. So, if, heaven forbid, he wins, will he continue to do so? And, won't that be against the law? FEC documents show lots of coin in off - shore accounts - NICE! We don't know how much he's earned, where the investments are, and the tax rate. Bain probably paid a 15% tax rate; most of we, the people, get taxed at 28%. $aint $arah from Wasilla wants to see them, too. Well, I wanna see $aint $arah from Wasilla's college transcripts, but that's an entirely different subject. ;D
#1 "For Richer, Not Poorer" AKA "Incoming!" - Mitchie the Turtle McConnell decided to pick a tax fight with Warren Buffet. Mr. Buffet called his bluff! :) Lizz Winstead gets Buffet VS. Turtle duty. :) There's always been "conflict" between rich & poor; Occupy protests just got the dialogue out in the open. Most of the super rich who claim to be "job creators" were given their wealth; they didn't have to work for it.
