6:34 PM PT: My feed just died. Fortunately, it was during a Rick Perry question, so I didn't miss anything that matters. For the record, I think he was trying to explain why only certain kinds of people ought to be allowed to vote, and why that is consistent with MLK's legacy.
6:35 PM PT: Hunter says:
Rick Santorum: if we kick the unemployed while they're down, that'll teach 'em to get jobs already.
6:37 PM PT: Newt Gingrich accuses the unemployed of being unwilling to improve their skills, effectively blaming them for their own unemployment. It's as if Newt Gingrich thinks the Bush Depression never happened.
6:38 PM PT: Mitt Romney makes the argument against ever doing anything like TARP again. Of course, he supported TARP.
6:39 PM PT: Gerald Seib says cutting military spending would cut jobs. Hmmm. But cutting other sorts of spending wouldn't?
6:41 PM PT: Ron Paul says of course unemployment insurance should be privatized, but adds that he wouldn't support immediately cutting it off. First, he says, he wants to go after wasteful military spending.
6:43 PM PT: Romney says the top income tax bracket should be 25%. Gingrich says he wants a 15% flat tax. Santorum says 28% is his top bracket. Paul says 0%.
6:45 PM PT: Mitt Romney is asked directly about whether he will release his income taxes. "I haven't" he says. "I'm happy to do so ... if I become the nominee ... people have released them about April, that's probably what I'll do."
6:45 PM PT: Was that booing in the audience when Juan Williams mentioned Romney's dad was born in Mexico?
6:46 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): The liveblogging continues in the next thread.
