OK, not exactly the most shocking development, but here it is anyway:
Via the Seattle Times and @PeterHambyCNN:
WASHINGTON — Campaign officials: Jon Huntsman to withdraw from race for Republican presidential nomination.
Jon Huntsman will drop out of the GOP race tomorrow, source says
(sigh) Ah, well. He would've been the ideal GOP nominee...30 years ago.
Too bad it's not 30 years ago.
Next?

h/t to Trix, who pointed out that Huntsman had just received the endorsement of South Carolina's biggest newspaper, The State. Ouch. Guess that's more evidence of just how little influence endorsements have these days (or of how quickly newspapers themselves are fading into irrelevance...or both...)
Not-really-an-update: USA Today has an actual full story on it; the only additional detail is that he's gonna endorse Romney. Hardly unexpected:
Huntsman will endorse Mitt Romney at an event in South Carolina, the officials said. Huntsman believes Romney is the best candidate to beat President Obama in November, they said.
The campaign officials spoke on condition of anonymity because Huntsman plans to make the official announcement Monday.
