Talk about it here. Watch it live on CNN or
online.
6:13 PM PT: Newt is anti-SOPA. But part of the reason is that he doesn't like Hollywood because he's conservative. Mitt Romney says Newt has it "just about right."
6:14 PM PT: Ron Paul brags that he was the first Republican to oppose SOPA.
6:15 PM PT: Santorum says SOPA goes so far ... but then basically says we need to pass something like SOPA.
6:23 PM PT: Gag me. Mitt says the thing he regrets most about the campaign is every moment that he spent on stage attacking his fellow Republicans because he should have been attack Barack Obama.
6:25 PM PT: I bet the thing that gets replayed most after this debate is Newt ripping John King. On the one hand, that was a good moment for him—if you heard the crowd applauding. On the other hand, that means there will be a ton of focus on his adultery. That's probably not great for him. Maybe the moment where Romney got booed about his tax form release will get some play too. Definitely that was a terrible moment for Romney.
6:27 PM PT: We're now at that phase of the debate where the Republicans are getting together to talk about how much they want to reduce the number of brown people coming to the country. But Newt says he doesn't want to deport people who have been here for 25 years and have been otherwise law abiding.
6:28 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): The liveblogging continues in the next thread.
