I do not consider myself a poor person but the truth is, I am poor in money. We are like the majority of Kossacks, making it not week to week, or month to month, but day to day. One paycheck of fixed income from a very dire situation. Still, I know we are better than many and not as good as some. Here is my question and I am serious.
How in the name of just basic economics, is 375,000 not a lot of money? How is 41,000 not a lot of money for running one's mouth and standing behind a podium for an hour? Explain this to me. I am more poor than I thought or never had enough to calculate such a outrageous monetary assumption . There are some pretty wealthy people on board here and maybe they can make me grasp the Billionaire Mitt's statement. The Kennedys were rich but they never took that kind of money for granted? Am I wrong? Do the people who live in a day to day existence not understand that money is small and measured by who you are and your existence rather than the measure of character? Do the 1 percent really see themselves as more derserving humans than anyone else? If so, where does this notion come from and are we just insignificant less than humans to the wealthy? Talk to me like I have a sense of reality and tell me, even if you possessed billions and billions of dollars, how would 300,000 not be very much money? Perspective ..I get that ...but reality of just one and one does not even make sense. What is even stranger is, if the money is not that much, then why hide millions off shore? Even stranger...who are these people working in coal mines or also part of the working class that support this person or persons. What values do they think that person represents in their fiscal reality?
I am serious on this question and in the great divide of class warfaree, I really want to view my neighbor of the other America in a reality based type of manner. I know I will never be wealthy in the monetary since. I have never made a great deal of money but worked very hard. I had to endure the Republican working years and mostly as a single mother and never got to that retirement cushion either. Are we the wealth Americans, pets? I know they view us as peasants but my question is are we less than human to these people and do their entire existence depend on the toys they own, the portfolios and stock options. How many houses do you have to own to feel at home? How many diamonds do you wear to feel dressed? How many pheasant under glass do you have to have to feel you have eaten? What's the scoop..Inquiring poor minds want to know.
Have the very wealthy always viewed the common people as stupid? Lazy? Undeserving? Do the wealthy feel the so called charity cases don't want better for their children or grandchildren? Do they feel afraid that the poor is a reminder of what could happen to them? If they hate the situations so badly for the poor, why do they ignore their struggles especially since 300,000 is not a lot of money. I cannot grasp this and Thank God I can't. Living in bubbles is not my thing.
