I want to thank President Obama, the SEALs and everyone else who was involved in this rescue, its nice when you feel your government knows what it's doing, which is rare.
This was a good thing, for the hostages and Obama. Its shows once again that we're willing to go after bad guys who threaten us and our citizens.
Once upon a time, traveling in the world as an American, there was an assumption that being an American really meant something---that our government valued its citizens and would do what it could to protect them. Lately that perception has changed to being on your own.
There's some really bad people out there. These hostages were there in their country to help take out landmines and these kidnappers grabbed them, brutally mistreated them and held them for ransom. and then we came back and settled their hash.
As with the Osama termination, this was a good day for America
"The United States will not tolerate the abduction of our people and will spare no effort to secure the safety of our citizens and to bring their captors to justice," Obama said in a statement.
thats nice to hear if you're an American
