The latest CBS News poll shows a two-thirds majority of Americans support raising the taxes of households with incomes of $1,000,000 or more - which President Obama and some Democrats in Congress have proposed. Support for the "millionaire's tax" rises as high as 83 percent among Democrats, and while 54 percent of Republicans oppose it [...]
67% of Americans "support raising the taxes on Millionaires." Uh-oh Mitt, time to open up a few more offshore accounts, hey?
Here's another poll about what Americans think about "Taxing the Rich."

A majority of Americans think the wealthy are not paying their fair share of taxes and that the tax system is so riddled with problems Congress should completely overhaul it, according to a new poll out Tuesday.
Fifty-seven percent believe the rich aren’t paying what they should, while 52 percent of Americans feel that they pay the right amount in taxes, according to a Pew Research Center for the People & the Press poll.
55% Americans say "the federal tax system not fair," and 57% say that "the Rich aren't paying enough."
Uh-oh Newt, maybe that 0-% Capital Gains plan of yours, is not really as popular as you think. Sorry historian dude.
Somebody ought to take a Poll about Taxing the Rich ...

Many recent polls bear this out. In an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll in November, for example, 76 percent agreed and 60 percent strongly agreed that:
“The current economic structure of the country is out of balance and favors a very small proportion of the rich over the rest of the country. America needs to reduce the power of major banks and corporations and demand greater accountability and transparency. The government should not provide financial aid to corporations and should not provide tax breaks to the rich.”
Only 12% disagreed with that statement.
Someone should stand up for Tax Fairness -- for the vast Majority of us who make far less than a Million Dollars a year.
Well, in case you haven't notice -- someone has ...
Polls Show Voter Approval of President’s Address
Themes of economic opportunity, American values resonate

Taxing the Wealthy
The president may have increased his appeal by announcing the “Buffet Rule,” a new tax proposal directed at the wealthiest of citizens, requiring those that earn over a million dollars a year to pay no less than 30 percent in taxes.
The announcement was politically timely, as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney came under attack from rivals for refusing initially to release his tax returns other than to declare he paid only 15 percent tax on the millions he earned through investments, and as CEO of Bain Capital.
More than two-thirds of all Americans back higher taxes on the rich, according to a Bloomberg Washington post poll conducted in October last year, and more than half of the Republicans identified indicated they also approve.
That's 67% of Americans who "support higher taxes on the rich" (including more than half of Republicans, too.)
Uh-oh GOP, you guys might need some new Talking Points, eh?
Fewer and fewer rubes are buying what you and Norquist have been selling anymore. Sorry!
