Allen West, Tea Party Republican from Florida:

"We need to let President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, (audience boos) and my dear friend the chairman of the Democrat National Committee, we need to let them know that Florida ain't on the table," West said. "Take your message of equality of achievement, take your message of economic dependency, take your message of enslaving the entrepreneurial will and spirit of the American people somewhere else. You can take it to Europe, you can take it to the bottom of the sea, you can take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States of America."

I don't know about you, but I'm sick of the constant right wing talking point that states that we should get out of our country. We have every right to be here! They use this talking point against the President all the time. He's un-American, he was born in Kenya, he puts mustard on his hamburger, etc. All pure and utter bullshit.

I think that this sort of attack is dispicable and the perfect case of a non-sequiteur. You talk to a Republican about one thing then they switch the subject and throw and insult that doesn't have anything to do with the points that you are presenting to them. Case and point:
Me: I think that people like Mitt Romney should pay more taxes a 14% tax rate is too low.
Repub: But Mitt pays double taxes: once on his income then again on his gains. You want him to pay more than 50% in taxes because you're a liberal!
Double taxes?

Image 45% Accurate {insert melanin & some female parts and you've got YoungArizonaLiberal} I'll rant about Romney's claim to double taxes in another diary, but seriously? Why do people let him get away with things like this?

When I saw this on Huffpo I was pissed. President Obama is the perfect example of American Exceptionalism. The fact that anyone from can look at the face of our President and say, "I CAN be that one day" just proves how out of touch and out of line Allen West and the rest of the GOP is. I am first generation American, and I am grateful that my parents immigrated here. If the GOP thinks that they can claim this country from us, they have another thing coming. We are not cowards. We will not put our tail in between are legs and sulk away. We're in this for the long haul so these dumbasses better get ready. There's one patriotic, Arizonan, Liberal that is going to fight these bastards head on.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
