Obviously some humans are rational, otherwise why bother asking the question. If there were no rational humans it would be irrational to ask irrational people to discuss whether they were rational or not. Surely they would argue that they were rational. As no doubt some of you will do here tonight.
So let us stipulate that there is at least a small percentage of human beings who are rational, and that some of them are gathered here at present. That being the case, the question actually becomes what percentage of humans are rational.....and I suppose, what do we (pardon my self-inclusion, which I freely admit is not evidence based as far as you know) the small percentage of rational people do about....them.
Sub-topics are open, but I will throw a few out to get things rolling.
Waging war when no one has demonstrably "won" a (major) war since 1945.
99% of humans allowing 1% of humans to exploit there labor to be obscenely rich. Along with the many other points of evidence demonstrating that even given a choice, humans will actively vote against there own best interest.
And the topper, in my opinion, humans undeniably and inexorably destroying the only known habitat capable of supporting human life.
I present these positions as the argument that humans are indeed irrational.
As far as what to do about the (apparently) vast majority of irrational humans not being willing listen to and obey smart, rational, charming and attractive people like you and me.....
Well let's try to solve that one once and for all in the comments, shall we?
