Elizabeth Warren campaign rally
MassINC for WBUR (PDF). 2/6-2/9 Likely voters. MoE +/- 4.4% (
8/30-9/1 results):
Elizabeth Warren (D): 46 (35)
Scott Brown (R-inc): 43 (44)
Undecided: 11 (18)
This is the first MassInc poll on the campaign since Elizabeth Warren declared her candidacy for the Senate in mid-September, and only the third since early October (see
here and
here for all MA-Sen polls).
So, while Warren turning a nine-point deficit into a three-point lead is excellent news, and while this poll does provide more evidence that Warren is currently ahead, the relative dearth of polling means there is still a lot of uncertainty about the state of this campaign.
Further, despite her narrow lead, there are indications that the barrage of negative advertising against Warren has taken a toll. Both Scott Brown and Warren are viewed unfavorably by 29 percent of the Massachusetts electorate, but 50 percent hold a favorable view of Brown, compared to only 39 percent for Warren.
So the bottom line is this: Warren is probably still in the lead, but the negative attacks against her are keeping it close. She needs your help to stay ahead.
Please, contribute $5 to Elizabeth Warren on Orange to Blue.
