Itzl is responding well to the stronger pain meds and muscle relaxants. He's actually kind of shaky on all his legs right now, but he can straighten his left hind leg enough to use it for balance even if he still can't put weight on it.
This is how he mostly stands:
Yes, he's wearing his bad weather booties - we had snow yesterday, a good, proper Oklahoma snow, the kind that falls during the night and is mostly melted by afternoon.
Even though it wasn't slick outside, my coworkers cleared the sidewalks and even some of the grass so Itzl could walk safely outside and do his business, I still put his booties on because they keep his toes warm and give him extra traction.
Tomorrow, he goes through some tests, then Thursday he gets bloodwork done, and he goes in at 8:00 am Friday morning.
Tonight, he's taking Xoco out to dinner on one of his gift cards, and we'll buy her a new collar. He's taking her to Oklahoma Station Barbecue, they give "puppy pails" when you buy an entree, so not only will they get some good barbecue, they'll get puppy pails to bring home and freeze so I can thaw them out as treats in their meals for several weeks. The puppy pails are all geared towards people having big dogs like retrievers and German Shepherds and such, so one pail lasts my little ones a very long time - they only get 1 tablespoon worth of the meat scraps at a time. Each, not both together.
