“This feels good, being back in Michigan,” Romney said. “You know, the trees are the right height. The streets are just right. I like the fact that most of the cars I see are Detroit-made automobiles. I drive a Mustang and a Chevy pick-up truck. Ann drives a couple of Cadillacs, actually. And I used to have a Dodge truck. So I used to have all three covered.”
The Romney campaign later said Ann Romney drives two Cadillac SRX’s (model years 2007 and 2010), one in California and one in Massachusetts.

It’s a problem that really is not a problem in the big picture.
This is just another case of Romney opening his mouth before his politically calculating brain can process the thought. Apparently, the remark was not part of the prepared text. I think that it is obvious by the manner in which he made the remark, a little sheepishly.
Romney has trouble connecting with "average" Americans every time he tries to be folksy. (see: "corporations are people, my friend")
Romney has what the 99% would consider Cadillac problems: 15% taxation on capital gains, millionaires contributing to his Super PAC, inability to convince voters that he is really a conservative, among others. Oh, Willard, the troubles you have.
I have a feeling that this will be the only thing most people remember about his pitch to the Detroit Economic Club outlining his economic policy.
I would like to see this misstep used against him in the way that "corporations are people" was. The meme of Cadillac problems has been laid in our laps. Have fun with it.
