Man am I diary-heavy this week. Brothers and Sisters last night, a little substitute C&J edition today, an Awards Edition Plus Top Comments Diary on Wednesday and my first diary for Thursday Classical Music--on the great 20th Century Anglican sacred composer Everett Titcomb, who's bench I once warmed--on, well Thursday. But you know what? A few of you (and what a few!) have been supporting my writing with a little financial bailout lately, so being busy on Daily Kos is not such a bad thing. One thing I have managed to do while "enjoying" a long spell of unemployment is to hone my writing skills. Yes, I still use too many parentheticals, run-on sentences and too much passive voice but hey: I'm still a better writer than Newt Gingrich.

The Kiddie pool is open after the divider-doodle...

News of Dubious Veracity Department

Rick Santorum's Trojan Horse

via the Washington News:

Washington, D.C. Former Senator Rick Santorum may be an outspoken critic of birth control, but the News has discovered that he is a major stockholder in the Trojan Condom empire. The stock, purchased by his broker 10 years ago apparently without his knowledge, is said to be worth over three million dollars according to our sources.

Cheers to the kiddie pool. I wasn't in much last week but I DID get my kitchen re-organized which was a major feat.

Jeers to the GOP field of asshats.

Jeers to mean people everywhere.

Cheers to family and friends and all who splash in the kiddie pool.

What are we cheering and jeering about today? The pool is open, but I'll warn you: I have to pee, so jump in at your own risk.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
