Occupy needs to stop playing footsie with the proto-fascist Tea Party and Black Bloc police provocateurs, stop being so coy about electoral struggle, and step away from the anti-Democratic electoral boycott and splitting sentiments so prevalent among purported Left/Anarchist milieus.
ONLY a mass electoral uprising, explicitly to purge the Right, the Republicans (and Blue Dog ilk) from the levers of power, and to suppress them, legislatively and judicially, will even begin to materially resolve the glaring contradictions we are all so concerned about.
Ignoring the real politik of right wing majorities in the House and Senate (from day one of this administration, despite putative Democratic "Majorities", rotten with remnant Blue Dog ilk), is nothing but a contrived, duplicitous, disingenuous rhetorical ploy to blame less than optimal material results on the Prez and the Party, instead of blaming the Right, the actual source of obstruction, sabotage, and shortcomings of the present administration.
Opportunist, subjective, hyperbolic jive, like "no difference" between the parties, "no guts, spine, balls", "betrayal" and "sellout", even asserting that riots in the streets are "what democracy looks like" (rather than an indication of a profound lack of democracy), can only serve to perpetuate and worsen the conditions we presently face, serving only the interests of the Right, and the dictatorship of it's monopoly corporate fascist Chamber of Commerce sponsors.
The whole world is watching and waiting, with bated breath, hoping and praying that we will rise to the occasion, and defeat our own anti-democratic right wing reactionary conservative and fundamentalist traitors, by any means necessary, EVEN, preferably, even...democratically, electorally.
Any genuine US revolutionary is obligated to recognize and accept the leadership of the masses in this regard, who REJECTED Right wing line, AND Left electoral boycott and splitting lines, to "vote with our feet" by marching to the polls, to elect Obama and Democratic Majorities (such as they were), in resolute, determined response to an explicit rhetoric for justice and peace, to save the planet,.
I think history will judge us harshly, if we fail to step up and give this our best shot, at this critical moment, Right Now, going into the Democratic primaries, which will determine the field going into November.
Seize the Time!
Seize the Power!
Bring the Better Democrats!
All Out for the Primaries!
An historic confrontation is now underway, to determine the fate of this nation, and of the whole world, the outcome of which is very much dependent on the results of the Democratic primaries.
To the extent that entrenched establishment Party apparatus proves resistant to the introduction of more progressive candidates to challenge Blue Dog ilk, to force them and vacillating "liberals" to the left, or replace them with more progressive representation, we must redouble our efforts to mobilize the grassroots, plain and simple.
The Prez and the Party are not our Daddy and Mommy.
Whether they help us "enough", or even like it or want it or not, it's ALL on us, the electorate, to bring forward the better Democrats and to make sure that they prevail, to the greatest extent possible.
While it is, indeed, a major obstacle, and a handicap, to try to do so without adequate support from the Party, and even in the face of obstruction and sabotage from more reactionary conservative elements ensconced in "leadership" positions, this can be overcome with sufficient resolute determination to do the extra work required, in the masses.
Revolution demands no less, anywhere.
Will it be utopia yet, if we achieve actual real filibuster-proof progressive, liberal, moderate Democratic Super Majorities, NOT rotten with Blue Dog ilk?
I think not, immediately, heh.
But at least we'll be in a material position to implement fairly simple electoral, campaign finance and media reforms, to allow the emergence of a more viable democracy.
Democracy is ALL revolution has Ever been about.
It's not over, yet.
The struggle continues.
Meanwhile, we'll be rolling out the new green paradigm all the way, putting everyone back to work, bringing our troops home, Having homes, pensions, health care, education, etc...and did I mention...Bringing to justice criminal traitors to humanity.
The upcoming election is Not about Obama, so much, in that he is unlikely to lose the presidency.
It's ALL about the relative left/right plurality in the House and Senate, and down the ladders of power, coming out of November.
All of the hype and hubris of the hysterical draconian rhetoric swirling around Republican presidential "contenders" is merely about whipping up a frenzy among their electoral base, in a desperate last ditch bid to limit Democratic gains down-ticket.
As long as the dictatorship of the Chamber of Commerce prevails in keeping this administration hostage to Right wing majorities in the House and Senate, we, and the whole world, are pretty much screwed, more or less.
This nation is poised on the cusp, at the very brink of a popular democratic electoral revolution...and the Right sees the writing on the wall far more clearly than many on the purported Left, it would seem.
The right recognizes that democracy will spell the death of Capitalism as we now know it, and of it's moribund form, Fascism.
That's why the Right are calling for political assassination, mass murder and civil war.
NOT the Left.
Go figure.
Purported Left "revolutionaries" stuck in the ideological rut of esoteric catechisms of seminal theory and practice 100's of years old, weaseling ad nauseum for sectarian splinter group rhetorical hegemony, have historically been heavily infiltrated, manipulated and sabotaged, with seemingly "radical" jive that has only, historically, materially, facilitated the rise of fascism.
It's time to recognize that this is NOT the freakin' 1800's, or 1917 Russia, or 1940's China, or 1950's Cuba, nor Even 1960's "America".
Conditions change, and so must theory and practice.
This is the USA, going into the 21st Century, and if anyone can achieve genuine democracy, we can...even though nobody else, anywhere, ever, has succeeded in doing so.
We have long aspired to, and struggled for democracy, and have long known that we don't have it, yet.
But that doesn't prove it's impossible, or undesirable.
It only proves that the anti-democratic opposition is very rich, powerful and ruthless...which can, and must, be overcome by massive popular democratic uprising, to throw off the chains of unjust exploitation and oppression of the working classes, to purge and suppress the misanthropic psychopathic dictatorship of a traitorous elite 1%.
The Right have Never enjoyed explicit participatory support from more than 20-30% of the population, many of whom will ultimately be won over, in their own material self-interest, as the new green paradigm rolls out and the legitimate popular democratic will prevails on all of the issues effecting them and their families personally.
But meanwhile a vast majority of the "American" peoples are now already staunchly opposed to racism, sexism, eco-rape, murderous monopoly corporate fascist rip offs, and imperialist warmongering profiteering.
The Right is politically incorrect, among the masses, anymore, heh.
Revolution is at hand, if you want it.
Seize the Time!
Seize the Power!
All Out for the Primaries!
