As many of you know I am owned by the Overlords, Tango and Cash. They are brothers, same litter.
Cash has always been the dom one, he is bigger and has his way around the house. The two of them always go everywhere together, groom one another, play with one another and if one is away they sound off to let me know they're not happy.
Cash has the propensity to get matted, so I sometimes have to get him shaved. They both go to the vet together, Tango needs no grooming, Cash gets groomed, they come back home are sluggish from a day at the vet, but they are fine.
Today I hired a mobile groomer, who does grooming out of a van that comes to where you live. I took Cash out to get groomed, he got his tiger cut, and I brought him back inside about an hour later.
This is where the problems start, though, he is sluggish and not his usual self. He's a lot more docile and permissive. Tango, on the other hand, seems to not recognize him. Whenever Cash is curled up next to me and Tango walks past, Tango hisses and pouts. This has been going on for a few hours now; it is as if Tango does not recognize Cash and Cash is depressed acting, not re-asserting his dominance.
Is there something I can do to get things back to normal? Is this normal feline behavior? Will they go back to their old ways on their own? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
