For twenty five years, you've been talking your stuff. You've made your living riling angry white men, intellectually impaired misogynists, and anyone who is afraid of an identifable other. You'll keep those people, and you'll become irrelevant -- destroyed by your own formula for success.

Herding people by appealing to their worst characteristics is like picking low hanging fruit. Most of the people who listen to you are, at their core, genuinely decent. Many are just afraid of being duped, and they'll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone if there is some reason why that person is endowed with authority. They want someone to tell them how to feel safe. They listen to you, ironically, because they don't want to be "had".

They won't forgive easily when they realize that you've been manipulating them all along. You've jumped the shark.

I get it. Conservatism is too often about maintaining the status quo. What you don't realize is that the world is changing beneath you. It isn't 1990 anymore. In fact, there is an entire generation of adults now that wasn't even born when your order was thriving.

It's no wonder that so many of your ilk despise Darwinian theory. Evolution demonstrates time and again that conservatism results in extinction. Well, it worked for the cockroach, but hard as you try, you cannot become one. Especially if you have to rely on Viagra to spread that seed. It's all about reproductive advantage.

And while we're at it, the right to choose all forms of contraception is about reproductive advantage. It's about strengthening our country by allowing half of its citizens to plan their personal lives.

So, call me a slut or a feminazi, whatever. I'm bored. And if you really need to watch people doing the dirty along with that blue pill, there are whole websites devoted to it. Find one.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
