Here we are, in the middle of the craziest GOP primary battle since forever, waging an all-out battle to protect women's rights, making gains against Rush Limbaugh, and working hard to damage the GOP brand heading into The Most Important Election In Our Lifetime (TM). I'm also dealing with major growth issues at Daily Kos, from continuing to staff up, to rolling out cool new features and products, as well as managing our election coverage and trying to sneak in as much of my own writing as possible.

And what do I have to deal with today? Two Daily Kos cliques who have decided they hate each other so much, that they troll each other's diaries and comments to remind each other, constantly, that yes, they still hate each other.

Let me be as clear and blunt about it as I can --

I don't care who started it. I don't care who is baiting who. I don't care who thinks they're right and who thinks they're wrong. I've got more important things to do than sift through your pissant petty adolescent bullshit to try and figure out whether your latest dick comment was "justified" or not.

Your personal feud is an unwelcome distraction when we have bigger fish to fry -- regressive conservatives who want to roll this country back to 1200 AD. If you think a fellow liberal community member is a bigger enemy than Rush Limbaugh, then your priorities are whack and you don't belong here.

So here's the deal -- you've seen my moderation in action before. I promise to be even more heavy handed than before. If I see you drag your petty personal bullshit into the site, I will ban you.

So if you hate that other person, AVOID that person. Don't go into their diaries! Ignore their comments! Don't even acknowledge their existence! If you don't take my advice and feel compelled to remind that person that yes, you still hate him or her, then too bad. I'll zap. Furthermore, if someone uprates any of those comments, I will ZAP THEM TOO. I won't waste time with NRs. NRs take two clicks to make happen, and I'm not willing to devote more to this matter than the one second it takes to click on "ban".

There are no sacred cows. No one will receive leniency. I'm simply too busy with actual important shit, so don't test me.

Finally, if you don't know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky. I'm not talking about you.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
