Meaning she seems to have total short term memory loss.
Sorry, this will be a short diary as I have 1,000,000,000 things to do today and shouldn't even be writing this but I sat down with my Torchy's Tacos Monk Special breakfast taco and scanned through the news as I was eating, and I saw this story and went,
"WHAT???!!!"
Do y'all remember (I'm becoming a real Texan now) when David Letterman made some tasteless jokes about the older Palin daughter, but were possibly misconstrued as being about the younger one, which would have been inappropriate but were most likely about the older one which would have made them slightly less appropriate, more in the ballpark of tasteless?
Whew! Long sentence. Here, to jog your memory:
Letterman Palin Jokes Cross the Line
She and her minions completely freaked out over this. Despite Letterman's rise in the ratings as a result of the scandal, Letterman apologized, on air. It's as public a forum for an apology as can be.
Palin's minions (or Pinions, for short) didn't like the apology one bit, and they put on some sad protests. Despite this, the general public moved on, mostly because they realized that the joke had really been about the older one, which made it tasteless but not outrageously offensive. Just pretty offensive.
Fast forward to yesterday. What did I see midway through a bite of my breakfast taco? Mrs. Palin was in the news, OF COURSE defending Rush Limbaugh for attacking a witness in a congressional hearing, shamefully misrepresenting her testimony, and not only calling her foul names but suggesting he would like to spank his monkey to a video of her having sex that she never discussed in her testimony.
One might think that Mrs. Palin was bitter that the whole nation didn't rise up in defense of her daughter's questionable honor and force advertisers to abandon David Letterman's show and NBC.
But the fact is, LETTERMAN APOLOGIZED due to the public outcry over his jokes. I found his apology to be sincere, and afterwards he dropped the issue and ceased making off-color jokes about underage girls. He certainly didn't go ON AND ON about those jokes, making them AGAIN and AGAIN for four days running, like soulless pig Rush Limbaugh.
Must go back to laundry now, before I am buried and have to be rescued.
Where is the hypocrisy here, Mrs. Palin? Please, I'd like to know.
The only hypocrisy that I see here is a woman not holding a radio host to the same standard as a late night talk show host.
