Links as I find them. Just announced on the local public radio station.
"AUGUSTA, Maine — Democratic Congresswoman Chellie Pingree announced Wednesday that she will not enter the U.S. Senate race and instead will focus on getting re-elected to a third term in the U.S. House."

I have no idea what will happen now, but I expect the seat will go to King. If he caucuses with the Dems it's not a disaster.
"Pingree's decision was not unexpected. After King said Monday night that he would run as an independent, Pingree acknowledged that she shared widely discussed concerns that she and King might divide the Democratic base, thus paving the way for victory by a Republican contender."
Yes, after what happened to the last race for governor that left us with that idiot LePage, it was a very real concern. We really need run-off elections or ranked voting in Maine!
