First, we had the bloodsucking CEO of big-profit Aetna declare that it's game over for big-profit health insurance.
Next, we had the always thoughtful Rick Ungar at Forbes get in on the pending expiration of greed-fueled insurance.
Well, pigs are flying, now we have Fox News (and Weekly Standard!) columnist Charles Krauthammer (also a doctor) saying that it's time to go single payer (or even socialist-style NHS):
In his speech, Krauthammer predicted the complexity of the law would eventually doom it to failure, which would lead to a single-payer system within a decade.
“This is a new reform that when it kicks in within a couple of years will make the practice of medicine a nightmare,” he said. “If it's not repealed, I guarantee you that within a decade we will have a single-payer system. And if I had to choose between Obamacare and a Canadian or British system, I'd choose the single-payer system. At least it would be rational.”
When you have strong conservative voices joining the corporate whistleblowers joining the greedy CEOs joining the left -- all declaring that single payer is coming soon -- you know it truly is 'game over' for big-profit insurance.
Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, WellPoint, Blue Cross: meet your death panel. Meet your friends.
Hallelujah -- the ideological tide is turning in the direction of Medicare for all.
Let's seize this opportunity to push harder than ever for real health care justice.
