It's amazing they can even make a living at spreading smears, lies, hate -- let alone become multi-millionaires in the process. Like Sean Hannity does by smearing the life and character of a black man, now deceased.
All because they are looking for that next low-info, no-thinking-required, political wedge issue.
Of course '$20 Million a year' Hannity likes paling around with '$12 Million a year' Palin -- mostly because it pays really, really well.
Who cares if a man's character is besmirched, even if that man can no longer defend himself -- the merchants of smear and hate certainly don't care.
Long as they can keep their fears and lies about Barack Obama, smoldering ...
-- all unsubstantiated, of course.
It's also quite stunning that a good man's amazing widow, must stand up and correct the rightwing smears against her late husband.
Such is the nature of fact-checking and hate-enabling in the American Mainstream Media, in the year 2012.
The mourning must step forward, to stand in defense of the dead.
And step forward she did.

In an interview with MSNBC’s "The Ed Show," Janet Dewart Bell said she is "angry and sad" that commentators on the right have been dishonest about her husband. "… it’s just really part of that radical right wing and the right wing media’s patterns of distortion and misinformation," she added.
The host, Ed Schultz, asked Bell to respond to Sarah Palin’s charge that her husband was a "racist." It’s "outrageous" and an "outrage," Bell responded. "Where are the good people who are going to speak up on the right side, you know?"

"Everybody should get a shot at the American dream. That is what Derrick Bell was about," the professor’s widow added.

Janet Dewart Bell:
If he were here today, he'd be standing up for Sandra Fluke. [...] That's the Derrick Bell I know, he's a man of courage, of conviction -- and he was always standing up for Justice, it didn't matter who it was. And he accepted people as they were. [...]
My husband was a war veteran. He was a patriot. [...]
And clearly, Sean Hannity and his ilk
are NOT -- patriots.
